The collection Tropical Activism is influenced by the idea of making the younger generation more interested in social issues in a fun way that would appeal to a younger audience; focusing specifically on climate. Phrases from the 2019 school
climate strike poster and banners were used to make children conscious of climate change. Working with a bright colour palette, this collection worked to keep the topic matter in a happy optimistic style.
This collection uses textured embellishments to create a fun sensory element to the designs to appeal to the children's market. Whilst still appealing to the environmental interest of the younger generation.
